Jeep Compass earns Top Safety Pick

After earning high marks for crashworthiness and for crash-avoidance technology, the 2017 Jeep Compass earned a Top Safety Pick award by the Insurance Institute of Highway Safety.

Advanced High-strength steel is one of the key components to the Jeep Compass withstanding a crash. The Jeep Compass rated "good" which is the highest possible rating, in five crashworthiness tests. The five areas test the vehicles ability to withstand a front, rear or side impact.

"The all-new Jeep Compass benefits from high-strength steel content that exceeds 65 percent," says Mike Manley, Head of Jeep Brand – FCA Global. "This not only contributes to crashworthiness, but it also speaks to a level of engineering sophistication that makes this vehicle the most capable small SUV ever."

The Jeep Compass is equipped with sensor fusion technology which includes Full-Speed Forward Collision Warning and Automatic Emergency Braking.
